My name is Kara Myers, formally Kara Johnson. I graduated with my BSIE in

December 2000 and immediately started work at Delta Air Lines in the Engine

Maintenance Department. When I started in January we had a senior design

team working with us. They were in their second semester and did a fabulous

job. They so impressed the higher management around here that I've been

asked to coordinate getting a team in each semester. We have at least 2

projects available right now for this fall's senior design class to look at

and choose from and probably more if there is that much interest. If all

possible, I would like you to announce us as a client choice in Monday's

first class meeting. Please have students respond to me directly and feel

free to forward this email as you see fit. My contact information is below.

Please note that my email address as of today has not caught up with my

married name. (It will be changing any day now so if an email bounces,

please substitute myers for johnson and try again.) Patti Parker also gave

me a URL for submitting senior design projects, which I will also do, but I

would be very grateful if Delta could be announced in the first class

meeting.

Project Description:
Involves only Cobb DFCS: Develop a troubled children web site for
potential service providers to be able to interactively bid to establish
per diems for serving particular troubled children based on the child's
description. The web sit would contain the needs and issues for specific
children. A winnng bid would commit servies, outcomes, and total cost.

Project Description:
Involves only Cobb DFCS: Develop electronic billing for foster parents -
Allow foster parents to access use a web based application in order to
upload their billing information. In turn the local DFCS office would
download the bill in order to pay electronically. Also, using the web,
Cobb DFCS would have the ablility to accept online donations using a
credit card. both of the functions requrie a secure connection and server.

Hi. At Scouts the other night, I ran into the owner/manager of the store "After Hours Formal Wear." They are a small company, although spread around the country, and he is very interested in having a Senior Design team meet with him about possible projects. He mentioned that they are interested in the design and installation of some new systems.
