"Wait a minute! Those aren't normal eyes like mine or the people I know back home... It's a house, a road - a whole town! What's going on Kristina?"
"Okay Michael, I think I trust you enough to my secret. You see, ..."
and Kristina proceeded to tell her story.
There once was a king who ruled over a very small, but very happy kingdom. Everyone lived together in perfect safety and harmony. Each family had a fair amount of land to raise animals and plant crops, he listened to them when making decisions, and best of all, the castle was always open to anyone who wanted to come there. The banquet hall was always filled with guests, and the children of the kingdom were always playing hide-and-go-seek amongst its many halls and rooms. For years and years the people were happy."Huh?" said Michael. "That doesn't explain anything! What are you trying to pull?"Then one day, a man came to king covered in sweat, with a horribly pained expression on his face. The king urged him to sit and tell him what the problem was. It took a few moments for the man to catch his breath...
"Your Highness, I've run as fast as I could," gasped the man. "I only hope that I'm not too late."
The king shuddered, "Too late for what?"
"Well, I'm trying to beat my personal best in the 5 mile foot race. What time do you have?"
And they lived for many more happy years.
Kristina leaned over to Tracey and whispered something to her - they
then both collapsed in fits of laughter leaving Michael even more confused
than ever....
