Computer Aided Layout

This chapter reviews most of the early and contemporary software applications for computer-aided layout generation. The material is oriented towards the models, assumptions, and algorithms implemented by the various layout programs. The material is available in several formats:

1. Online (HTML) for viewing with a browser capable of displaying frames
2. Handout with full text in Adobe Acrobat 5.0 format (PDF), which can be downloaded and printed
