The New command of the File menu allows you to interactively create a new facilities design project.
If there is a project currently open and if it has been modified, then the program will display the Save Changes dialog window and ask if you wish to save those changes, discard the changes, or if you wish to abort the creation of new project. The Save Changes dialog window is illustrated in Figure 5.2.
The command displays the New dialog window, which is illustrated in Figure 5.3. To save the new project use the Save As command. To open a previously saved project use the Open or Import commands.
To create the new project with the values shown in the dialog window press the OK button. When this project is created it has no departments and all relationships will be equal to zero. If you press Cancel, no new project will be created.
