Project Manager and Research Associate

A project manager position is available in the Center for Operations Research in Medicine and HealthCare, School of Industrial and Systems Engineering. Candidates should have a master's degree in health systems or related subjects. Knowledge of modeling, simulation, optimization, and algorithms is required. Good communication and writing skills are essential. The candidates should have at least two years of experience in healthcare projects and in dealing with healthcare organizations. The successful candidate will also hold an appointment of Research Associate in the NSF I/UCRC Center for Health Organization Transformation. Research Engineers and Postdoctoral fellows in modeling, informatics, and computing

Several postdoctoral fellow and research engineer positions are available in the area of biomedical informatics with focus on modeling and algorithmic advances for clinical and translational research in the Center for Operations Research in Medicine and HealthCare at Georgia Institute of Technology. The center focuses on systems modeling, algorithms and software design, and decision theory analysis, with emphasis on problems in biomedical informatics; predictive health; disease modeling, early diagnosis and prediction; optimal treatment design and drug delivery; target intervention and treatment outcome prediction; public health and medical preparedness; medical decision analysis; quality improvement, efficient operations, and logistics associated with healthcare delivery systems. Candidates should have a PhD degree in Optimization, Operations Research, Computational Mathematics, Medical Informatics or related area, with demonstrated experience in mathematical modeling and algorithmic and software design for medical applications.
