Course Title:

ISyE 2030: Modeling in Industrial Engineering

Hours and Location:

LECTURE: MWF 12-1:10 in IE Classroom Building room 205

RECITATION: 1st section: 1:20-2:50; 2nd section: 3:00-4:30 Other hours are for lab and project work, including possible site visits.

Description:

This course introduces students to problems in the IE domain through case studies and site visits. Coverage includes projects involving information collection, data acquisition, analysis, and presentation, as well as the motivation and use of analytical, algorithmic, conceptual, and computational models.

Prerequisites:

Computing II (CS 1302), Probability (ISyE 2027), Calc III (Math 2401).

Corequisite:

Statistics (ISyE 2028)

Hardware and Software Required:

PC or Mac (specs ) Excel, possibly all of microsoft office. wwweb access.
