Warehousing Systems Design

A group of faculty and graduate students have been developing a framework for the design of warehousing systems. This research effort started in 1999 and was funded by the Keck Foundation, the National Science Foundation and industrial partners, in particular UPS World Wide Logistics.

A progress report was presented at the IERC 2000 conference in Cleveland, Ohio, May 20-21, 2000 and you can download the presentation slides and an extended version of the paper in the conference proceedings in Adobe Acrobat 4.0 format.  A framework and mathematical programming models was presented at the IERC 2001 conference in Dallas, Texas.  You can again download the presentation slides and the full text version of the paper in Adobe Acrobat 4.0 format.
