Site Selection for Spatially-Distributed Enterprises

The focus of this research is on enterprises with spatially-distributed units or sites. Many service enterprises with different operations (e.g. production, distribution, retail) fall under the framework of spatially-distributed enterprises. Studies for
these enterprises face a series of challenges: information availability - proprietary company fillings and undisclosed demographics micro-data; data dimensionality - multiple-sources of data observed at multi-levels and multi-time scales; data redundancy - spatial and temporal dependence; and methodological scalability - scaling to the complexity of the current information content. My work in this field addresses these difficulties with a solid statistical foundation and in a way which incorporates knowledge of the underlying enterprise operation.
