Research

Gunter Sharp is Associate Professor of Industrial and Systems Engineering and a faculty member of The Logistics Institute at the Georgia Institute of Technology. His research interests in the area of material handling and distribution have focused on analysis and design of both automated and manual storage/retrieval systems and on distribution center operations. He regularly presents a short course on order pick systems. He has extensive national and international experience in the areas of facilities planning, material storage/retrieval systems, and economic feasibility studies. He is co-author of Advanced Engineering Economics.
