The History and Future of Complex Networks by Stephen Young

I will give an overview of the history of the study of complex networks,
starting with the networks similar to those that originally motivated the
field.  I will discuss three major attempts to produce random graphs with
similar behaviors as observed complex networks, how they succeed, and how they
fail. I will conclude by outlining the recent research towards more accurate
and flexible models for complex networks.
