Student Resources: Communication Lab

The Communication Lab is the place to go for help with the presentations and writing skills you will need for your classes and for success in the workplace after graduation. The Lab serves ISyE students taking Senior Design courses, and ISyE and ECE students taking Technical Communication courses.

Lab Benefits for Students

Frequent use of the Communication Lab provides many benefits for you as a student, including:

  • a place to practice and improve presentation skills, in group or one-on-one sessions
  • feedback and help with specific presentation skills and materials
  • presentation video taping and review
  • writing feedback and suggestions, in group or one-on-one sessions
  • communication experts to help you every step of the way
  • workplace communication instruction to list on your resume
  • a letter of reference to reflect your instruction and capabilities in presentation and writing

Lab Hours for Spring Semester 2005

We're here to help you, so feel free to stop by the lab as often as you like! You can even make an appointment for yourself or your group; this ensures that space (and equipment) are available for your use.

Here's our schedule for the Spring 2005 semester:

Monday 11:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.
Tuesday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Wednesday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Thursday 11:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.
Friday 11:00 a.m. – 4:00 p.m.

Getting to the Communication Lab

The ISyE Communication Lab is located in room #115 of the main ISyE building (see map). The Lab phone number is 404-385-6130.
